“Hi, I’m Caoimhin O’Neill. I am 21 years old and have just graduated from Edge Hill University with first-class honours in sports therapy. I moved to Liverpool just over three years ago from my hometown of Derry, Ireland.
Growing up, I had a passion for sports, playing football from age 4, and I still enjoy that. I’ve had my fair share of injuries through this and, as a result, grew a passion and determination to help people get back to their best, and there was no better way to do it than as a sports therapist.
During the summer of 2022, I spent nine weeks in Colorado, USA, as a football coach, making new connections and having new experiences. Seeing the world was amazing.
Throughout university, we had an on-site clinic where we treated students and patients from the public with various age ranges, practising and developing my clinical knowledge and hands-on treatment. In addition, rehabilitation plans were given to each patient to get them back to their best.
During my final year of university, I had the pleasure of doing my placement at Everton Football Club within the academy. I spent many hours learning from top-class mentors and top-class facilities at Finch Farm, which has developed me massively. I have gained many new skills as a sports therapist.
I am passionate, hardworking, and determined to help people get back to their best. I strive to help people achieve more than they believe they can and improve their performance further.”
